Marina Colonna presses untreated organic lemon skins directly with the olives to make her vibrant oil. Delicious with fish, as a marinade for shell fish, with smoked fish, as well as a dressing for cured and dried meats. Ideal as a dip, on steamed and stir-fried vegetables. Excellent drizzled over pasta and rice dishes, and magical when baking cakes and biscuits.
Colonna’s history dates back to the 12th century. In 1996, Marina Colonna, the grand daughter of Piero Colonna who was the Governor of Rome and the daughter of don Francesco Colonna, a keen agronomist, inherited the 180-hectare farm, including 55 hectares of olive groves, cereals and vegetable crops. The estate of Colonna is located in Molise, that little-known region opposite Rome on the Adriatic coast. Marina farms meticulously in order to achieve high quality Extra Virgin Olive Oil.
